Burden

The burden Fardeau carries can only be lessened by one thing: PAIN.

His name means Burden, and he has a past. Kidnapped by a rival village, Fardeau was tortured for information used to harm his community. Now home, he is shunned. One man, though, opens his door to Fardeau: Reaver. People say Reaver is a sadist, that he likes to draw blood—a lot of blood. But Reaver may be the only person who can give Fardeau the one thing he needs, the only one willing to hurt him deeply enough to make up for the shame he feels.

In a postapocalyptic landscape of bitter rivalries and secret desires, Burden tells the story of one man who seeks relief from the torture of his mind through the torture of his body.
